I have a chance to be posted with CFPSA at KAF, before I seriously consider I'd like some real feedback from those who have been/are deployed.  I'm not a soldier, but I'd like to think that working for you guys is a decent way of thanking you for doing the job.  If it means I get a bit dirty, big deal, it can't even compare to what goes on outside the wire.  Does it help to have things like the Canex, Tim's and a gym?  Much appreciated.    :cdn: :yellow:

One of my sons went to KAF to work at Timmies with CFPSA. He loved it. The experience was terrific, it allowed him broad enough horizons to decide what he wanted to do after. (after he took Paralegal training, he is now in BMQ)

The money was great also.

Now ask yourself, where can you go to earn that type of money, experience an exotic country, and do it all under the context of a combat zone? There's nothing like it......

Welcome to Army.ca

First off; you are not very original in your posting of this topic.  It has been covered before, and there are some very good posts in threads already.  If you do a Search for "PSP", "Timmies in KAF", look in the Home Front Forums, etc. you will find some of those posts.

The thing about Army.ca or Milnet.ca, is that most of your questions have already been answered, before you have had the chance to ask........You only have to look.  Your first ten minutes on the site, really isn't much time.  Browse a bit.

Here is a recent post, just this morning from a person currently working at Timmies in KAF:

Well we are out of large cups (and you dont get a cup if you buy a large coffee, stop asking ;).......and will be out of mediums tonight. a bunch were sent out to the FOBS, dont know which one or if all will get them but I do know that a bunch were sent.

Still about 30 laptops.......and a lot of caps.

I don't have the links, but there was a discussion on the training that people were doing in Kingston prior to going over to work as civilians for PSP.
