Court rules soldier who threatened PM not criminally responsible. Claude Michaud threatened to kill Prime Minister Chrétien, and then himself, when he phoned the office in June 2002 to complain about the lack of psychological services for the military. The court found that Michaud suffers from severe post-traumatic stress disorder. The court has ordered him to undergo psychiatric treatment for the next two years. Michaud is a 45-year old soldier served on three peacekeeping missions, including one in Bosnia.
