Saw Dr. Dyer speak last week, scary stuff. He basically studies climate change from a military point of view, and includes some possible scenarios
for armed conflict stemming from issues related to climate change. Here's a link to his podcasts. They are called "Ideas 1,2,3".

I always find his conclusions rather negative and he's somewhat of a doomsayer. Come on, have some faith in humanity!

He just does that so he can get laid by all the 'end of the world' groupies...

I had a lot of time for Dwyer in the 1980s, and his 'War' (first edition, not revised) is still readable although factually it's aged as well as any other 30-year-old military book written when the Cold War was still a going concern. I even had a few beers with him over the years. But in the past 10 years, he's gone as squirrelly as a sh**house rat and somehow gravitated left of Naomi Klein when it comes to the ravaging of the environment and meddling in the Third World by the western military-industrial yaddayadda. And he goes on about it incessantly. Just ask him about it sometime.
