Our CoC doesn't know what this major tasking is all about, sure thing is it's at CMTC.

Do PATs sent from other bases to Wainwright get to do OPFOR or is it mainly GD (constructing villages, picking shells?)

And any other units shipping people down there in September?

If you got MILCOT... might be a MILCOT driver. Good go now.. They got a Timmies now.

Maple Guardian is in Sept. They will need all kinds of GDs, and drivers to make it happen for the Primary Training Audience. This way the pers requiring the training get it.

Believe it or not, but I was there for MG last year and a directive came down..........no green vehicles at the timmies.......not sure if they're still enforcing this.  Just an fyi

It would be the same policy as here in Edmonton, except its supposed to be all CFR'd except emergency vehs. But if there is no emergency then when do the MPs keep parking there???? >:D

Nlope, but MSE Safety does. And apparently they introduced said rule. ???

Oh those Nazis.. they can't hurt you. MP's I would worry about. But they spend half their shift there anyways.

If there's one tip I can give you, it's to bring all sorts of time-filler because there's relatively little to do there on your off hours.

Whether it's books, PSP, laptop, whatever...you will go stir crazy within a few weeks and during Ex MGs the Canex runs out of magazines pretty quickly.

As per the above comments, keep in mind that depending on the nature of your task and the CoC at the time, you may be confined to base, too.

As to Timmies runs - Not sure if it is base policy or just CMTC but if it is CMTC green fleet or even blue fleet (civi non-staff car vehicle with CFR plates) and it is anywhere you would want to go in town, there is a good chance the CSM of the owning org will be getting a a shitty gram and someone will be getting a blast. Those of us posted here at CMTC just save the trouble and use our own vehicles for Tim's runs and augmetees  can usualy get a lift  or order in with them when the chance presents itself.

This did happen to me last time there. Vandoo's had to ruin it. I laugh at it now. Just a story to tell the kids.

Being CB'd to Wainwright has happened to me both times I have been there (not just me personally, but the group I was with).

In spring 06 as an Observer Controller Trainer for TF 3-06, all of the staff were CB'd by the CMTC CoC even though we weren't the training audience.  This pre-punishment included several majors including the DCO of 3 RCR at the time.

In spring 08, for the week after end-ex, those of us on TF 3-08 sat on the hill that represented KAF and watched the camp get torn down around us, even the mess and our mod tents, before we got on the plane home.  This time it was by our own CoC.

Needless to say, I am somewhat jaded with my thoughts of Wainwright.
