Hi,

I am a girl, currently 16 and in 11th grade in highschool. Ever since I was young I wanted to be in the army. ANd now it seems like the right time to start figuring out how I'll make it happen. I have done some reserch and found that Combat Engineer is the most appealing job to me. So I was wondering if it would be a good idea to enroll right after I graduated highschool, or should I go to university for a few years, get a degree in Engineering and then enroll? I have more then decent grades and am physically fit. I just basically want to know if I need a higher educational level then highschool to be a Combat Engineer.

thanks!

No, you don't.  Only if you want to be an Engineer Officer.  Combat Engineer is an NCM trade.

Stay in school. Education never hurt and the Engineers aren't going disappear anytime soon.

Only because it says THE Engineers, I (as AN engineer) am only mildly offended, as it slags the Combat Engineer trade, and I was a Vehicle Tech. :nana:

Back to the topic, one suggestion is that you could join a reserve CER, continue your advanced education as either an NCM or an Officer, then apply for a transfer to the Regular Force.
