iper:Okay so here's the deal i recently decided i would like to enroll in the Canadian military as a infantry soldier or artillery soldier...now i have a couple questions about the whole process...now i have bad teeth!!lol i have a couple issues with cavities...and no dental plan to have these fixed right now..will this affect my eligibility? also i am now 24 and when i was 19 i was charged as a adult i am pretty sure the charges are assault and  theft under and trafficking...now this all happened RIGHT around my 19th birthday and i am not sure what charges are on my adult record.now i have not been in trouble with the law since and have to obligations to the judicial system..i talked to a recruiter about this ..and they said would be unable to obtain high security clearance...is this correct or will it affect my eligibility??and last i have smoked Marijuana (I HAVE NOW STOPPED)and was a constant user for a few years...and just stopped when i decided to join the military...what happens if they do find marijuana in your system?..like i know it takes a while to get out of your system if u are a heavy user...was just wondering what the stipulations are surrounding the urinalysis. if you could please answer i would greatly appreciate it THANK YOU

Adulthood and the drinking age are not the same thing. You become a legal adult when you turn 18 years old. So, if these charges occured around your 19th birthday, they will be on your record.

Do they still do the physical fitness exam in the enrollment process??i read on the canadian forces site that it was now tested in basic training now? is this true i have just seenalot of posts on here about the push ups and situps? could some one please clairify

Look, I can't give you specific answers to most of your questions, but I can give you a general view of where you stand.

The Canadian Forces needs members who, aside from being competent, are responsible, accountable, trustable, moral, ethical, and about a dozen other buzz words that you can throw in their. CF members have to embody Canadian morals and values. The reason you were charged for assault, theft and trafficking was because Canadians do not view these things as being acceptable behaviours. The Canadian Forces, which represents Canadian morals and values, cannot be associated with such questionable behaviour.

Like I said, I don't know the specifics of whether your application will be denied based on your situation, but can tell you with confidence that there are going to be a lot of people who are not going to want to see you in a uniform.
