You know what? I wouldn't expect any better from China.
On the humourous side, just imagine getting a heart transplant and the heart has stamped on it "Made in China".
Seriously, I'd keep a close eye on China... so should the UN, USA, Canada, the Brits.... I dunno, but I got a bad feeling about what could possibly happen in the near future.

Yes. The UK has already had an article on how a popular anti-aging face cream used collagen from the cadavers of executed prisoners. When the individual has no rights before the state, this is entirely what you expect to occur...They have stated, shortly after Tianemen Square, that "in China, a million people is not so many", with the implied threat that they were willing to kill that many to maintain "order" or the Communist system.

Before I say this I would like to state that I am in no way whatsoever a Communist sympathiser, I hate communism for its lack of civil rights and the inevitable oppression that follows its installment, after all; power is corrupting.
But has anyone considered looking at this from the Chinese point of view? I mean their trying to police a country with rampant poverty, the criminals themselves are very likely serial killers, or have committed other serious crimes, not political prisoners. So if your going to get rid of them in the first place, why not try and make something good out of it and sell their organs for a profit? They were probably a menace to society and according to the Chinese ethics, there would be nothing wrong with this.
Without going into the topic of what makes morals right and wrong, technically this is a very good thing.

Back on topic, yeah, life is apparntly cheap. But to play devil's advocate, why waste organs when there are thousands of people who are in need of transplants? Though personally if I were ever in a situation where I needed a new organ, I don't think I'd accept one from prisoner...
But then again i've never been in that situation, nor as anyone in my family...
I am so sick of writing essaysright now! I'm working on one for my palepathology class. Due tomorrow, 20 pages, i have 5 or so. I want to scream.
The end is in sight. But then i'm to my MA. Yeah, maybe i'm a masochist, or just stupid... I don' tknow. Just tired. need sleep.
