Hey all, I need some guidance on a huge decision I gota make soon

I'm in college for Health, Wellness and Recreation, however I can't see myself working a community center or gym the rest of my life. I have my sight set on the Canadian Armed Forces. I have the option to stay in college for 8 more months, but honestly, I would rather join the army.

I could go back to get my Chem. course, and be ready to join in 2 months, instead.

I was wondering, is there any point in continuing my education, or should I just drop out, and work towards becoming a medic?

Thanks

Stay in School.  Talk to the Recruiting Centre. The recruiting process may not be complete before you graduate anyway.

Most importantly: Stay in School, do not drop out before you talk to the Recruiters!

hey,

I personally recommend you stay in school... it's just 8 more months... then it's done. The army will always be there, Afghanistan will still be there (assuming that's a place where you want to test you skills)... trust me, you may not see it now but you'll be thankful you finished school down the road...

A buddy of mine who I met in Battle School had dropped out of high school to join the army. 4 years later he started working on finishing his high school. It was a lot harder for him. He eventually finished - I remember how proud he was that day.

Here's a thought... what if you find out you don't like the army and punch out after you're first 3 year contract... then what? Back to school?

Just my thoughts. If nothing else... make a plan for yourself. Remember... "pay me now or pay me later... because in the end you're going to pay"

Oh, one more thing... stay in school because... Chem "now" will always be easier then taking it "later". Get it out of the way!

From a guy who hated school, joined the army, got out, and now back in.

Okay, now I'm done.

Like the others said

Stay in school...8 months..is nothing...

you wont regret it...and education is never lost. I regret not having stayed longer in school. i was a read dumbass....Now I regret it.

Dont make that mistake...Army was there before you, army will be there waiting for you.

Shoto,

Do yourself a favour and complete your education. What happens if military life is not your cup of tea?

   Education first.

Thanks for the reply, guys and gals.

Well, first off, I'm not sure if this course is really something I can make use of anyhow. Sigh.. we will see. Thanks for you input, again!
