Eagle Plate Carrier?

Alrighty, so I finally have my fake SAPI's and they're going to be sand filled. I was just wondering if anyone has had any previous experience with the Eagle Plate Carrier w/ Cummberbund. I've put them in, and put my tac-vest on (no aftermarket load bearing kit in the res.) and it's felt pretty good.

Anyone have any recommendations, warnings or anything? It's relatively low profile and still modular so I can use it as a load bearing vest as well.

It is relatively cheap compared to rigs like the CIRAS, though that wouldn't really be practical under a tac vest. I looked into getting a uuber simple Tactical Tailor Plate Carrier, no bells or whistles, but it didn't seem as comfy or as practical as the Eagle Plate Carrier. I tried the version without the cummberbund, but the one with it actually feels better. I'm rambling... feedback? Thanks.

BTW: Budget is around $200 CDN.

What is the point of wearing a plate carrier with FAKE plates? Is this for an airsoft event?

I was issued a TT plate carrier, it was okay but cut too long for large plates so guys had to pad the bottom few inches or fold the bottom. Worked well underneath local clothes.  Have also worn the Eagle plate carrier with cumberbund. The cumberbund is unnecessary unless you are putting pouches on it.

The fake plates are mostly for training purposes. Tactical competition shoots if I get good enough. But mostly just to hold the weight. I looked into the weighted vests, but found that the sand filled fake plates with a plate carrier would be better. Plus, a plate carrier under the tacvest looks a lot better than a odd looking weighted vest.

I tried the Eagle Plate Carrier without the cummberbund, but found the one with the cummberbund more comfortable.
