Yeah unfortunately the expensive one was made for under a helmet connected to your comms gear... 

IIRC they are only about $350~ Cdn.  A lot cheaper than hearing aides for the rest of your life...

That looks like the one we bought for our hy eqpt ops to wear under their helmets.

. . . but the only times I can recall seeing them used was when Armd Tp had pulled a pack and was running it up in the bay, or when the ROWPU guys were doing their thing.  Neither time were helmets worn.

I was issued a Med sized CF Gallet helmet and when I tossed it on top of my Peltor Sound Traps on my head, everything fit really well.  I hardly had to adjust the chinstrap.  Life is good.

My MSA Supreme Pro have a back band and can be worn with helmets and have a jack for comms, They're not cheap though. About $450.00

They work better than my hearing aids too ;D

Yes it does. But as per, it will eventually give you a headache if your chinstrap is too tight.
