So I did not ask this question at the recruiting centre, as it only came to me after. My CFAT will be done on computer on Tuesday. I usually like to organize my thoughts on a piece of paper, draw diagrams, write out equations, etc., especially when it comes to solving linear systems and sequences and series, which I understand will be on the test in some form. The question is whether or not I will be allowed to use a piece of paper for rough work, provided it is blank when I start, etc., or will I be confined to the mouse when working? Also, what is the policy on calculators? I assume they are not allowed, but it always pays to make sure. My university calculus and stats courses allowed for their use, for example.
Another peculiarity I want to clear up is whether we are given a TOTAL amount of time to complete the test, or an amount of time PER section. For example, assume that verbal allows for 10 minutes, spacial for 20, and mathematical for 30. If I finish the verbal in 5 minutes, spacial in 10, may I add the 15 minutes to the math section to have a total of 45 minutes for math, or will the computer limit my time on the math section to 30 minutes?
I didn't really have much time to study or prepare as I'm trying to get pushed through to do summer training, so I'm doing my CFAT basically a few days after I visited the centre and found out what it was, so any help or tips would be appreciated. I searched the forums already but did not find answers to these particular questions. Pehaps they exists; if they do, please link me.
Thank you in advance for your input, I'm off to do some algebra to prepare!!
