Just found this forum and have done nothing but reading up on it. Very helpful information. I applied for the military with all my papers here in Regina, SK just as of recent. I got a call aabout a week later and have my medical, aptitude and interview booked for monday February 12th. So I will find out then...

The lady told me they do not do a Fitness test anymore upon recruitment. Basically she said if you are not in shape enough when you sign up you will by the time BMQ is complete.

I am not concerned with the Aptitude test nor the medical. BMQ is what makes me worry I am an avid soccer player and workout as much as 3-4 times a week..but I am sure not to the stnadards of military, what I do have is drive and motivation. I still have yet to decide if I will accept the offer upon my passing of the exams...with a 19 month old son it makes the decision difficult...anyone able to relate

Well, first of all, this link will fill you in on the current CF EXPRES TEST standards...

This next link will fill you in on the fitness testing process when you get to BMQ...

And...don't be scared to use the "search" function.

As for "what the lady told you"...well, the 2nd link explains that process alittle better.

There are lots of people in the CF who are single parents, married but seperated from their families for whatever reason, people who start families while in the mititary...you will have to decide what is best for you.

Being physical active will definitely aide you in passing BMQ, but..there is more to it than just PT.  Try this link.  It isn't perfect but its better than nothing.

Good luck with your tests.
