Food in the Military (split from POTUS47 adm thread)

Curious - how was it done? Steaks/cutlets, stewed/slow cooked or cured?
They were done up as some sort of meat filled egg-roll-ish thing.

I recall them being OK for taste and because of how the meat was prepared (finely minced/chopped) it wasn't tough at all.
