Did you realise that if its 12 midnight here in Sydney New Year's Day, its 0500 in Vancouver early on New Year's Eve morning, or 0700 in Saskatchewan? Thats 17 hours difference!

Us, well we were going to go into the Harbour by the Harbour Bridge again, but we have decided to host a toga/spa party in our back yard for some of our friends. Also its a farewell party sort of too, as are are leaving for Queensland soon.

So, its a toga style spa ( h2o temp 38C) party, and I have some fairy lights up, the barbie will be on. Candles everywhere.

Entre will be Wesley's home made poutine, followed by the main, consisting of genuine Aussie steaks from 'Woolies', Nancy's home made garlic bread and 'the local butcher's Aberdeen 'square & skinless' sausage. Baked potato, and corn on the cob.

Oh ya,   can't forget the moose milk (WW1 PPCLI recipe - thanks to WO George Gerhart) for dessert.

Drinks: Cascade Premium Lager, Vic Bitter, Bundy rum, and of course Canadian Club whisky!

METREP for Sydney 31 Dec is supposed to be 28C-32C, and sunny. Lets hope 'tis a calm dry night.

So, what do you have planned?

Regards,

Wes

I think my girlfriend is dragging me out to some club.......

I'd much rather have a steak and some CC and G than go out clubbing...

Woohoo, I get to spend New Years as a young, single gal with all her married and engaged friends....I'm stoked (actually totally bitter, but I'll be drunk as a skunk and probably won't care, lol)

Wes,

You wouldn't mind sharing that moose milk recipe with a fellow gun plumber would you?  I've been looking for one this year and 'lo and behold, Wes writes in mentioning one.

Please, please...??

I will, I have to find the original recipe, but I use, 2 fresh farm eggs, a bottle of cheap scotch( I keep this in the freezer), and I supplement the fresh cow's milk with 4 litres of soft serve ice cream. Mix it up. All served from the pot of an old US M1 helmet for the 'military' effect.

Be warned, it bites. It will even send Granny off the deep end.

Cheers,

Wes

MMMMMMM, Moose Milk  Gotta love it!
I would let my friends try it....but they couldnt handle it, one of my friends tried it at a christmas dinner my unit had last year.....a couple glasses (literaly 2) of that and she was GONE!!!

I like the idea of making it with ice cream though, sounds interesting!
