Did you realise that if its 12 midnight here in Sydney New Year's Day, its 0500 in Vancouver early on New Year's Eve morning, or 0700 in Saskatchewan? Thats 17 hours difference!
Us, well we were going to go into the Harbour by the Harbour Bridge again, but we have decided to host a toga/spa party in our back yard for some of our friends. Also its a farewell party sort of too, as are are leaving for Queensland soon.
So, its a toga style spa ( h2o temp 38C) party, and I have some fairy lights up, the barbie will be on. Candles everywhere.
Entre will be Wesley's home made poutine, followed by the main, consisting of genuine Aussie steaks from 'Woolies', Nancy's home made garlic bread and 'the local butcher's Aberdeen 'square & skinless' sausage. Baked potato, and corn on the cob.
Oh ya, can't forget the moose milk (WW1 PPCLI recipe - thanks to WO George Gerhart) for dessert.
Drinks: Cascade Premium Lager, Vic Bitter, Bundy rum, and of course Canadian Club whisky!
METREP for Sydney 31 Dec is supposed to be 28C-32C, and sunny. Lets hope 'tis a calm dry night.
So, what do you have planned?
Regards,
Wes
