GBAD - The return of 'FOBS'

Should a standard set of vehicles (platoon or troop) now include one with this type of turret and three more conventionally armed with just the 30mm? It could still have the passive EO/IR and acoustic suites and warning receivers, and even the ballistic computers for engaging moving targets.

It would be nice if we started to build some of these under licence and started making ammunition as well.

A new Sky Ranger from Rheinmetall. The 762 is based on a pair of 7.62 M134 miniguns.

Rheinmetall seems to like this configuration. They have mounted it on both of their Canadian made Missionmasters.

This latest variant looks as if it is mounted on a new GM Defense ISV-Cargo variant.

True but industry needs to step up as well to expand and offer a product. It still blows my mind that GDOTS isnt expanding the factories in quebec for 155, etc and are expecting gov hand outs when massive demand exists and money is there to be made

But would the government let them export to the market?

Probably is still an if. Just like exporting oil.
Well like the ret of us, I can only make educated guesses. After all, majority of the ammo GDOTS makes is exported. Pre ukraine war we didnt order much per year of 155, if I recall it was only around 8000 rounds

Isn't most of the production for the US? Production that could be used to employ Americans?
