Came across a Facebook post from October 26th showing pictures and some information on the stand-up of 8th Air Defence Regiment, RCA in Gagetown. The new CO is LCol Lisa Nodwell. 8 AD will form the 1 Div SHORAD regiment while 4 AD will become VSHORAD. The hope is for the batteries to stand up over the next three years and to tie the regiment's linage to 8 Light Air Defence Regt with the reactivation of 70 Ad Bty (Dauphin, MB - 1920), 101 AD Bty (Assiniboia/Portage La Prairie, MB - 1936); 102 AD Bty (Wentworth/Dundas, ON - 1936) and 207 Hq & Svcs Bty (Calgary,AB - 1946).

What are we doing here with this contraption guys? I see what appears to be a Zetros mounted 25mm gun similar to the LAV, some sort of turret mounted CUAS rocket launcher, what appears to be a Dillon Gatling gun and a lighter version of RWS on the cab.
And it all appears to be fitted on to a sliding metal deck that can be loaded/off loaded. Truck equipped like that will need its own supply convoy.
