Getting injured after VOT.

What happens if you get injured during course and the injuries are such that you cant complete your new occupation's dp1? Do they send you back to your old trade or release you? Is there some sort of program so you dont get screwed and get kicked out of the forces as a cripple and can't get a career somewhere else due to your injuries?

You will be assesed to see if you are suitable for any other open MOC. If yes, and you wish to do so, you will be remustered into one of them. If you are not suitable for any open MOC, you will eventualy be medicaly released.

A medical release comes with certain benifits as far as retraining and pay.

Beleive it or not, "getting screwed" is not the default setting.

Unless these injuries are going to result in a permanent category, you might just get recoursed.
