I stumbled upon this sit while looking for something else, are all of these plates actually available in Ontario or just the Veteran one? And if they are I wonder why other provinces haven't done the same (Ab in particular seeing as they are quickly running out of unused combinations for there current plates)

Yes, they all are, or at least the last time I was in the Licensing office in Mississauga they were.

They're all available.  I have the Anishinabek Nation plate.  I agree with you, more provinces should adopt this.  Except for those nasty Toronto Maple Leaf ones ;)

Cool, thanks, maybe this link should be forwarded to the Alberta Government to help with there lack of Available plates.

I'm surprised to see no regular force regiment's do not have a plate.Maybe the Arty but due to the other regiments listed.Tend's me to believe it was reserve driven.

- I drive a 'clean' car - no decals or other distinguishing marks, magnets, ribbons or gizmos.  My affiliations, hobbies and beliefs are nobody's business, and I have no desire to return to a 'messaged' auto that has received the attentions of some dolt(s) who took exception to that 'message' in my absence.

Well,

As most reg force regiment postings are so temporary, I am assuming there would be a lack of interest.
However a Milnet logo would be cool!

I actually agree with you, heading out to the bar, a bunch of people spit on my car because I'm Ojibwe (Not that I even remotely look it!) The only regret I have from getting that license plate!

This plan does not help a lot with lowering the number of plates because most people who buy them already have a plate on their car/truck

Well if they where to tell you that once your new plate was in you had to turn in your old one to be "recycled" in the system it would. And if more people would turn in there old ones rather then decorating there garage walls with them that would probably help as well. And even if they didn't request them back it would still help to delay this from happening again.

- Whoever did that needs a good hard attitude adjustment.  There is no excuse.   I'm originally from Thunder Bay, and I grew up never hearing about stuff like that.

I concur, incognito, works for me.

I must be tired.. I cam in here looking for something else when I read "graphic".. hehe

Mind you.. we could consider the Maple Leafs plate "offensive".. or maybe not, due to their lack of it!!!

Go Habs Go!!

I have had the same cap badge and regiment since I joined in 1993.

- I wore one for 22 years, then another going on nine years now.

It was driven by Regimental Associations - but they have to get commitment apparently to 100 sets of plates (at close to $300 each!) in order to get them done - which is why my Regiment does not have a plate.  Ontario allows any organization (I think it has to have charitable status or be a community group of some sort) to apply to have its own graphic plates.

Now all you need is to convince Alberta to make CMTC plates!

- Can't say many here at CMTC would get one - respective Regimental/Corps mafias have a long reach and longer memories!
