hey Wes,  I appreciate your opinion on the "wearing of deceased father's medals" topic.  I'm satisfied with the outcome.  If it were legal, I'd wear them...I like Australia's position!  But, like was said, the public doesn't know the difference between right and left, where medals are concerned, so....I'm good.  I'll just carry them with me!
So, is the Aussie military much different from ours?  Do you plan on retiring back in Canada...just curious!

Amos, things work different in the Army here, and there is some things similar to the CF. Once I return to Australia, I do plan a holiday to Canada and the USA in June, but I have no plans on retiring or living there, at least for now. One thing is certain, when my end of days comes, I already have a plot, a $50 plot at that, back in my family's hometown cemetery of Quill Lake, Saskatchewan.

The only thing certain in life is death and taxes.
