Hello. I have applied for the direct entry option (logistics officer) and I am just waiting to finish my BComm. degree this April before I can do my CFAT. On the general document requirements (for ROTP, NCM, Officers) , it says to provide high school transcript. Do I still need to submit this or do they only require college and univeristy transcript since I am joining through the DEO? My only concern is because I did my high school outside Canada, and if they require to have an equivalency, Immigration Quebec takes too long (more than a year) to process the equivalency. Thanks.

Good day iamspence,

Thank you for your interest in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF).

Having the required university level education from an accredited Canadian university for the Direct Entry Officer (DEO) entry plan meeting the requirements for the occupation may allow your application to be processed without having yet received the evaluation of your Non-Canadian high school education. Requests will be required to be submitted and approved by the recruiting center processing your application in order to continue the processing of the application for the occupation.

That being said if there is any doubt about your academic credentials and whether or not they meet the requirements of the CAF you may still be asked to provide proof that they do.

There are a number of organizations across Canada that evaluate foreign secondary and post secondary education.  Some of these organizations offer free services and others require a fee, which is not reimbursable by CAF Recruiting. These organizations should all fall under the national accreditation organization called the Alliance of Credential Evaluation Services of Canada (ACESC).  Fees associated with translation of the applicant’s educational documents into either English or French are also not reimbursable by CAF Recruiting.
