That isn't a good idea, either. If you're at the point where you're ready to go away on a course, then I assume that you've been sworn in. That means that you're officially a member of the military, and you will have an official supervisor. The unit recruiter is probably still responsible for you. Even if the recruiter isn't your supervisor, I guarantee that the unit Ops O isn't your boss. One of the things that you will learn about ad nauseum on BMQ is the chain of command. You don't just skip a few links on that bad boy. Not only is calling the unit Ops O up out of the blue going to be non productive, but it's going to get you a blast of crap, too. There's nothing wrong with calling your supervisor up and asking him what the deal is, but don't call the Ops O directly.
