Right, I did IAP this past summer, and I'm set to do BOTP and (maybe) SLT this coming summer. I've heard that BOTP is a bit more relaxed than IAP. Is this true? If so, what can I expect? Any hints?

I'm in the same boat as you...finished IAP during the summer and have BOTP/SLT to look forward to next summer.  I've talked with lots of Ocdt's about BOTP/SLT.  Nothing exciting to look forward to apparently.  Lots and lots of classroom work.  BOTP is all leadership theory training and tests from what I understand.  There is still inspections and PT but nothing very intense.  There is only one week in the field and it is all evaluations...weapons and taskings I think.  As for SLT...how fun can 6 hours of French be for 6 weeks.  I know I'm not really looking forward to it.  The upside however is that the DS are really slack during SLT and you have alot of freedom when not in classes.  Getting through next summer will be so worth it though because CAP is the next course and I'm already pumped for that.

I had a friend just finish the BOTP that ran Nov/Dec.  They said that it was pretty much the same as IAP but that the standard that they are looking for is a bit higher then was expected on IAP.  This makes sense due to the course being the next in the progression.  As for SLT, I think it's going to be super easy.  There is no DS for such a course.  Just staff.  Our only responsibility will be to get to class on time and put in the work.  Free time is all our own.

I'm with jwsteele though, I'm heading off to CAP in the summer of 07 as well, and I'm not looking all that forward to that.
