The water wars between these two were predicted years ago, but were predicated on global warming. Choosing to start a water war is a very different kettle of fish.

Once a commodity is scarce or can be controlled, it can be weaponized. India is doing just that in response to alleged recent terrorism from Pakistan. And since water management (too much or too little) is existential for Pakistan well....

With that said, Canada is a bit too complacent when it comes to letting some elements within the Sikh diaspora have a free hand in meddling (and well beyond mere meddling) in Indian affairs. It makes Canada look either complicit or like patsies.
