Good day,

Noticing that the Infantry seems to be in a constant state of hire lately, are the forces particularly short on members in the capacity? In any case, as I'm interested in joining the infantry, could this mean a quicker hiring process.

Thank you in advance!

Good Day,

Please note that Poacher434's post has been deleted in accordance with board policy (http://navy.ca/forums/threads/115492.0.html).

While Infantry is one of the largest trades within the CAF, they are not undermanned.  Within the CAF we have indicators called Priority and Threshold occupations to determine which occupations are in high demand due to shortages in the occupation; Infantry does not fall into either of these categories.

Even if you were applying for a Priority/Threshold occupation it does not mean an expedited process; as many part of the recruiting process take the same time such as background checks, medical checks, etc.

If you have further questions about the recruiting process that do not contravene the rules posted in READ FIRST (http://navy.ca/forums/threads/115341.0.html) please feel free to post them and one of the authorized users on the board will respond.

Best Regards,
Sgt Laen
