hey, I just finished my interview, went very well, a great relaxed environment, no problems at all. I have a medical and physical in a week, after that then whats next? I would be doing basic training at the beggining of July. Has my forms already been sent through to do the whole backround check and stuff, or do they do that after i have finnished everything up? I heard it takes from 2 months to 12 months to process everything. So its going 2 be close if i get in this summer. Do they speed up the process or no?

Depends on your induvidual file, things happen at different times for different people.

Since you say your basic would be in July, I assume that you are going reserves? And that is the unit training schedual for this summers‘ course?

Basically, the only good answer you will get to your question about wether your backround check is complete or not will come from a recruiter who has access to your file.

I wouldn‘t stress too much, there‘s still 3 months between now and July, seems like it would be quite possible to get in.

ya, you have to wait for the background check to come back from Bondon. Like myself, my form has been sent to Bondon on Feb, but nothing has been came back yet. And I am still waiting for that. All I can do is sit back and wait. Also what I guess is they won‘t speed up for the process.

do they send the forms out as soon as you hand them in or after all your testing?

What forms exactly?

Did they take your finger prints? If yes, then they send those directly to CSIS. This is the stage of the process that can take up to 6 months. Generally it take about 8 weeks.

If you mean all the references, and employment info that you provided for them, then they begin sorting that stuff out right away. Should be a matter of days or maybe a few weeks.

If you‘re talking about the process they go through if your "Enhanced Reliability Status" is in question, then they don‘t send anything to Borden. Some senior staff at the CFRC will convene a board which will include the CO to review all your information.
The timeframe depends entirely on the time constraints of those staff.
For me I received a letter in the mail after approximately 18 days.

Hi GrahamD what letter did you recieve? In my interview she had me sign a form for security clearance and there were a few levels of security checks mine was checked in the lowest level. I was told that my file has been sent to Borden.
