Just so we're clear. You started with the idea that the Liberals are imposing 47¢/L in taxes in a month.

As I understand it, come April 1, the end of this month the Trudeaupian Carbon Tax will increase from 3.3 c per litre to 24.2 c per litre.

The governments will take 47.2 cents per litre come April Fools Day.

And then ended up with the idea that combined federal and provincial excise taxes and sales taxes might be 43¢/L......in 2030. If gas prices are $1.5/L in 2030.

That is the 7 progessing to 17 source.
Federal excise tax I found as 10 cents per litre
Alberta Fuel Tax I found as 13 cents per litre.

30 cents currently advancing to 40.

Plus 5% GST.

$1 dollar a litre adds 5 cents
$2 dollars adds 10 cents

Min Range 35 cents per litre
Max Range 50 cents per litre

And I suspect the next plan is to lift sanctions on Russia and get Russian barrels to replace Iranian barrels while they try to choke off the regime and just keep mowing the lawn.

Well he snagged a few of their tankers and apparently threatened to sink at least one sub — so I’m not so sure he’s wanting to top up Russian coffers.
Russians already have nukes — so they are a different kettle of fish.

I’d feel better if the administration didn’t drop sanctions on Putin’s source of funding for killing Ukrainians. Having nukes never scared the Yanks into doing that before.

Is there any veracity to this? I just see a picture of someone jumping over someone else ready to throw something at some protest. For all I know, this happened at a random lefty protest in Toronto 2 years ago.

I've seen Qeshm speculated a couple times in the past week. Population a little over 150k, existing airfield, and no physical connection (bridge or natural) with mainland Iran.

It would also make Bandar Abbas unusable for Iran's navy.

EDIT: In fact the US apparently struck a freshwater desalination plant on the island on March 7th.
