I don’t know. The highest estimate of the Tiananmen Massacre was 2700 in a country of over 1 billion and the freedom movement in China was effectively killed that night. The Khomeinists murdered at least 30,000 in a country of 92 million. I know the Pahlavi and expat groups are trying to pump out propaganda that this is only a setback, but I can’t see this movement coming back within this generation, let alone the next. I hope I’m wrong, but I wouldn’t bet the farm on a revolution in Iran anytime soon.

sad, how many years was it before Hungary was able to rise above the 56 put down? And truly, have they ever really broken free? Same thing.
