Is CFB Petawawa on high alert? Snow storm heading towards Toronto

The wives and girlfriends (and husbands) of soldiers in Petawawa should make some kind of civilian defense force snow removal team. That way while we are training fitness and war fighting skills they can keep the roads clear for us

I'm on west side of GTA. Pushed out two cars , directed traffic all before 0700.

Things are pretty ugly in my neck of the woods right now too. (I'm excited to get out in the snow with the lil guy later on though, especially since last winter was non-existent for him.)  We have well over a foot right now and it's still coming down quite heavily...we shoveled then had to shovel right after shoveling...bring on the snow fort! ;D

Good point, I should have been more clear! At least the traffic heading out of base for the CTC pers is easier on said snow days.

Got a couple of inches here. Shovelled it off, threw down some salt.

Getting a bit more snow now but the salt seems to be taking care of it.

High 30's low 40's starting tomorrow, for the rest of the week.

A couple more weeks and this'll be two years I haven't used my new snowblower.

Living south of Detroit has its advantages ;D

It's gonna start here tonight. (Greenwood) just filled up our gas can for the snow blower..doubt it'll do us any good until the plows decide to come through the sub division.  Usually 3 or 4 days after the fact.
