I was wondering if the Base Operations staff has to gather maps and gps units for the troops to clear sidewalks and streets in the city?
I will offer my services as a personal contractor to help guide troops and equipment around the city

I am sitting on my ruck sack right now just in case. No one told me too, I'm just super keen.

CFB Greenwood's Auroras are ready to go to look for people who are stupid enough to drive in the snow storm!  :salute:

I hope your troops are doing the same;  even better they should be out shoveling snow and practicing pushing cars out of deep snow all night.  Would be great pre deployment training and morale building  >:D

I'm thinking a bug out at 0200 that results in us driving to Deep River to confirm vehicle serviceability. That's always a good idea right?

I thought this was tomorrow's MSM headline.  :snowman:
With the way reporters scoop each other online.
Now I'm disappointed.

It is better for morale and improves the 'good idea' factor if the drivers are made to mark time while conducting halt parades.  Especially when they are not standing up.

They might moan some during but will thank you later...

Somebodies gotta come down here and help me get home from work in the morning............I'm Southern Ontarioized now.

How're things looking there? I'm in the Waterloo Region and not too much is happening yet. Mostly strong wind gusts, but I've heard the Toronto area will get hit the heaviest.  We're only supposed to get about 10-15 here, worst will hit tomorrow.  Stay safe.

Oh okay. Both my husband's family and my own are in Southern Ontario (Niagara) so hopefully it doesn't get too bad for you 'Southerners' ;)

So is Petawawa supposed to get hit?

I live on base and to be honest I havent really been listening to the weather or news.

Hit?

It's going to snow a little bit. Unlike Gagetown, which closes at the first sign of a slight spring shower, troops will still be in for work and kept there until 4pm.

Petawawa is not on high alert. There's no point. Our VOR rate is too high.

I'm ready for a snow day, heck Kingston almost paniced last week over a little freezing rain that never came.

You would think people would learn to deal with a little weather during winter.  It's not like this doesn't happen every year.

I'm on west side of GTA. Pushed out two cars , directed traffic all before 0700.
When's my Army man turning up ??  ;)

Never seen the Schools shut down.....ever.

Now 3ASG on the other hand, that statement applies.
