I liked them too. Too bad I can only watch it when I am back in Canada.

Not that I would advocate piracy, but look them up on Youtube  8)

Canadian TV really has come a long, long way.

I remember when Corner Gas ended & the cast immediately went onto other Canadian shows that were created just for them.  It was too soon, and their characters too strong to be anything but who they were on Corner Gas.  (For example, when "Hank" got his own show.  He was always going to be Hank from Corner Gas.)

Canadian TV has some really knockout shows that some people might not even realize are Canadian!  Far cry from the 80's!    :cdn:

Then there was Little Mosque on the Prairie, which had no Muslims in the cast.

???  Is there a requirement for an actor to be whomever they are portraying?

How many of those many "Cop Shows" had real cops in the cast?

Who were the writers and advisers for the show?  That would be more relevant.

You mean Mel Gibson isn't a disgruntled kilt wearing, Vietnam vet, police detective?

Hold the fuck on!

What about the classics like King of Kensington, Beachcombers, Original Degrassi, Littlest Hobo, Danger Bay, SCTV, and Test Pattern?  Let's not forget about Super Dave!

He's Pakistani, not sure if he is Muslim as when I talked to him and the cast when they were signing autographs, I mentioned my wife name was Aishah and just got blank looks from them, any Muslim would know the name well and they always react when I mention it.

The Wikipedia article doesn't say for sure, but I do recall reading an article years ago where it said that he was the only actual Muslim in the cast.  Keep in mind though that he may not be a devout Muslim.  Not all members of any faith are well-versed in every part of it.  Just look at the number of "Christians" who know so little of the teachings of Christ.
