Leaked report shows basic training pass rate fell after military recruitment changes

Some of the reports on this matter are rather interesting. 7,000 of the 70 thousand applicants being accepted to CFRS Saint Jean doesn't seem to come anywhere near what used to be run through the Recruit Schools in a year. But I found one report saying that of those 7,000, just over 1,000 were Filipinos. 1 in 7 is a relatively high number, and that number is not including the recruits from Cameroon and Cote d'Iviore who have been creating quite the problem assaulting each other and disrespecting female candidates and staff. I question how foreign applicants can be processed in as little as three months, and Canadian applicants are taking three years or more. What is the logic/reasoning here?

I have my suspicions ;)

The majority of those Filipinos, if not all of them will speak English.

That may be so, and I didn't notice it mentioned that they were in the Officer Candidate stream where all the cultural and sexual conflict seems to have presented itself.. But there is another problem with them, that unless they have become Canadian citizens, they are breaking Filipino Law. The Philippines have made it a criminal offence to serve in a foreign military. I would suspect that they have all become Canadian citizens in this event.
