Liberal Minority Government 2025 - ???

Feeling poorer these days? Canada's economy hasn't grown for about 10 years so no surprise ...

Why Canada's Economy Hasn't Grown in 10 Years ft. David Williams

In this episode of the SMB Report with Kirk LaPointe, we explore the labour productivity gap in Canada, the impact of immigration on our economy, and rising tax rates with David Williams, respected economist and VP of Policy for the Business Council of British Columbia.

I'm glad the Liberal Government took on debt so Canadians didn't have to. I see the same trend is continuing.
This statement could apply to any level of government regardless of political party, a lot of people are upset in AB that the UCP is racking up deficits, Klein paid off our debt and it was back within a few short years

That companies work seems like something out of a sci-fi movie. It's nice to imagine in the near future we may have limb replacements like that for children, vets, and so on.
The whole thing started as an idea to improve prosthetics, but morphed into what it is now - automation as a service with a focus on providing synthetic labour to the global market. It will likely circle back to prosthetics later in the development of the company.

If Poilievre's leadership wasn't contested before, Im sure it will be now. Conservatives accidentally cedes the right to propose amendments to the Bloc

Not a good look for someone with decades in parliament.

Has Pierre said anything yet about the floor crossing at all? I think it may have genuinely rattled him, with him also flubbing/forgetting to include the CPC amendment yesterday.

I think the rattle started with the whole jail Trudeau/RCMP cover up stuff backlash from within. Seems to now be spiraling a bit with the defection.

He’s normally very disciplined. Something is off.

This definitely paints a grim picture for his leadership. This is more than cracks at this point

The good news is that he can still add sub amendments. 😀

The bad news is that they can only be relevant to the text of the Bloc’s amendment. 😭

Mr Stoltenberg told the Financial Times that Norway’s government had now put the work of the fund’s ethics council on hold over fears it could lead to more widespread divestment of US businesses.

Jens Stoltenberg, the nation’s finance minister, said there was a risk that its ethics council could have called for it to “withdraw from some of the largest companies in the world”, including Amazon, Microsoft and Google, which would “undermine” the fund.

The sovereign fund, which manages the country’s vast oil wealth, had previously divested from 11 Israeli companies on ethical grounds.

It also sold out of US business Caterpillar in August after its bulldozers were allegedly used by the Israeli military to demolish buildings in Gaza, a move that triggered tensions with Washington.

Jens Stoltenberg, late Secretary General of NATO is now Norway's Finance Minister.
Stoltenberg was previously the current PM's boss when Stoltenberg was PM.

Stoltenberg and Store are both members of the pro-European, social-democratic Labour party. Centre left.
Like Mette Fredericksen, PM of Denmark and member of the Social Democratic party.

Both countries are strong on defence, supporting Ukraine, and tightening up on immigration.
Now it appears that both of them are deciding that they can't afford their peace-time principles.

They both go to the same clubs as Carney and Starmer.
