Liberal Minority Government 2025 - ???

This statement appears to be Manitoba (and the port) specific, Kinew wasted no time in jumping on the opportunity to get this big project greenlit. Any kind of pipeline to the port is going to require Smith and Moe to stop spinning their wheels.

EDIT: Manitoba was also entirely excluded from this feasibility study that was announced in October. Not quite sure what the deal is, but Churchill is at least going to start getting the attention it needs to support a pipeline regardless.

Can BC borrow Wab Kinew for a little bit, please? ;)

I love "This Guy's Garage" on Youtube.

He shows committee and parliament Q and A, no commentary. And he shows ALL sides.

So, while we have people here just losing it over Pierre Poilievre existence (he is doing his job as opposition), we hear nothing about 78 Billion deficit when 60 billion drove Freeland to turn against Trudeau. And of course, the Liberals had to prorogue parliament so they could pick a new leader meanwhile the NDP is having to squeeze their leadership race in between Canada's political crunching sessions (Thank you Jagmeet, you are to blame for this).

Still waiting for all these conservative defectors to leave the CPC. waiting. Chris D'Entremont, had a specific ax to grind.

How is the housing, mass immigration, crime, out of control spending, etc going?

For those who don't know, there is nothing in the budget that touches our new submarines that we will get in 2028, nope 2033, eer, try 2045, forget it.

Its like balancing the budget. We will do it in 2028, nope 2035, nope try 2055, to hell with it, your great grandchildren can pay the bill. Shame on many of you for your willingness to burden future generations.

That being said, my prediction as the budget vote is going on right now as I type this, the budget will pass.

And of course Jason Jacques getting ignored for his scorching reports on the Liberal Government's failure to manage the financial disaster that is our federal budget.

Germany buying some stuff.
Quid pro quo for submarines?

Last time we mixed submarines and Army we waived costs at Suffield and got used British subs.
I will say this.

I know little about subs.

I just remember Carney looking at the South Korean Subs on his most recent trip to Asia.

I have no clue which one is better.

Well yeah, obviously not. The submarine procurement is still enough years out that the actual payments would not yet be appearing in a budget. That’s been reported on already.

So, while we have people here just losing it over Pierre Poilievre existence
Who would you say is actually doing that here? Several of us have said ‘no thanks, CPC, offer us a better option’, but you’re alleging a level of histrionics that I don’t think actually exists on this site.

Won't be unless industry steps up, not even AB, with all its cheer leading will build a pipeline on its own without private backing
I always find it amusing that when Alberta talks about how much Canada needs pipelines, it doesn't use it's considerable financial resources to fund one when the opportunity presents itself.

Although they had no problem with the Canadian taxpayer funding Trans Mountain.

Well we might have the ability to if we didn't have such a lax royalty scheme
