Liberal Minority Government 2025 - ???

And they may not leave too... Its just rumblings I am hearing out here in the hinterland or outer provinces.
Joly and Blair may be headed to diplomatic postings. Guilbeault leaping to provincial politics is a possibility same with Erskin.

But I suspect the timing will be after the budget is finally passed through royal ascent and with possibly a few more Floor crossings (I suspect that Carney is timing all of this).

Nothing is surface level deep on parliament hill.

Is that what you are hoping for? And if even more Liberals leave to "spend time with their families"? I don't think Carney is the mastermind you are ring to paint him as. Truth is he is sinking in the polls and his lackluster non-committal on Trump capturing Meduros isn't helping his reputation.

Here is another dose of wake up call .

I listened to a Toronto Sun clip today Adrian Batra with Brian Lillely and Warren Kinsella. Warren and Brian, have had some very interesting political insights that turn out to happen (Brian somewhat predicted in June 2024 that Mark Carney was going to take over the LPC), and Warren offered up some positive comments about Carney but he warned "Where is the beef?" He explained there has to be some real results soon or Carney is in deep trouble.

If it sends PP away and makes the CPC a better alternative then yes. I guess we’ll see what happens.

I didn’t say he was a mastermind. I said he’s likely timing these departures. Some of which he is naming to diplomatic posts himself. This is not a stretch. Your a Maduro thing is irrelevant to this and sounds like an algorithm feed. I know it confused you but be realistic here.

You said that months ago too. Yet here we are,

Maybe if the CPC wasn’t playing silly games in committee and blocking things they actually agree with, things could be done faster. they aren’t acting like a serious party right now.

CPC playing games? yeah sure. they helped pass C5 with many amendments.
On the other bills they have many suggestions and amendments they wanted added in (or taken out) and the Carney Liberals with Steven "Yells loudly" McKinnon screaming how bad the CPC is and how much they are not cooperating. Meanwhile they are still a MINORITY government. Its on them to cooperate as well.

Watching the LPC slide down in the polls, is going to be sweet. Hell, it is sweet. They will have a few bumps here and there upwards, but all in all, they will slide downwards. Carney won't do what must be done or risk his Liberal coalition.

I also said, to pay attention t the 2004-2006 Martin-Harper rivalry, and people like you forget (conveniently) , I think that is more the situation we will see. Unless Mark got a big win. Doubt it.

They are also blocking things. Like the repeal of the carbon tax. Yes games. They are obstructing to try and show nothing is being done. It’s also why some people are thinking of crossing or leaving.

Sure. Or they can be defeated. No one has the stomach for that yet. Bluffs are being called and tested.

You say a lot of things.

Well now Freeland has a new job, was not expecting this

Epic comments ;)

Ukraine is at the forefront of today’s global fight for democracy, and I welcome this chance to contribute on an unpaid basis as an economic advisor to President Zelensky.

In accepting this voluntary position, I will be stepping aside from my role as the Prime Minister’s Special Representative for the Reconstruction of Ukraine.

In the coming weeks I will also leave my seat in Parliament. I want to thank my constituents for their years of confidence in me. I am so grateful to have been your representative.

Right and I know you adore the Liberals. Face it - they are a traitorous lot.
Traitor-Definition

1)A person who betrays a friend, country, principle, etc.

2)One who commits treason

Please, elaborate. How are they traitorous?

Traitor is thrown around as a buzz word these days, few use it correctly
Oh, I know, it's part of the continued drop in political discourse and civility.

Before, it was " I don't agree with that other political party, and I wont vote for them, but I can generally get along with the individual."

Now it's, "I don't agree with that other political party, they are traitors and as such, illegitimate and dangerous."

Which of course, some loon is going to take that too far and bad things will happen, and people will say all the right words, oh that shouldn't happen, so sad, and go right back to calling others traitors.
