With still 3-ish years before an election is due I'm not sure of it makes sence to swap in a new leader now? The new leader vibes will mellow out by the election. Right now any new CPC leader will be made out to be pro-Trump somehow by the LPC and it will hang over their head their whole time. Might be wise to wait and see who replaces Trump to take that easy button away from the LPC.

It’s a leadership review. If, in the wake of it, Poilievre makes an exit, they would choose an interim for some span of time, get their poop in a group, and then hold a leadership race. Could easily be a year before they chose a permanent leader. As soon as they did so they’d be looking to ramp up to election if they can succeed in triggering one.
