Made my first call to the recruiter today

Hey everyone, I'm new to the boards, and I just figured I'd introduce myself. I'm from Newfoundland and I have completed college courses in natural resources and have since been working with fisheries management. I'm now 22 years old, and I have been considering applying for the LCIS Tech trade with the regular forces. Made my first call to the recruiter here in St. John's today and he said that as of now there is a recruitment/transfer freeze more or less, and that next April appears to be the next time any amount of recruitment will happen. The recruiter also told me I'd be contacted in January, about applying for positions then.

Really looking forward to applying! Any tips for me at the moment?

Have a read through on the Communications and Electronics branch forum, and you'll probably learn a whole lot about your chosen trade.
