Hi Everyone,

I'm thinking about applying for a Marine Engineer job. The only thing I'm really worried about is the fact that the job descriptions says I need to excel in Math in Physics. I took Math in high school but I never took any Physics classes. I assume once you're into the BOQ they teach you everything you need to know. Thanks for the help everyone!

You may want to contact a recruiter this site also has useful information.

http://www.rmc.ca/adm/ap-cpa-eng.asp#gppg

Bachelor of Engineering

In addition to the general academic qualifications applicants for the Engineering programme must have completed high school university preparatory courses (normally Grade 12 or provincial equivalent) in the following subjects: English, Chemistry, Physics, and two Mathematics; Functions, and Calculus (if available within the provincial system).

Thanks for the info.. I didn't take chemistry, physics, or calculus in highschool. Back then I was all about computer classes.. Aerospace Telecommunication & Information Systems Technician or Army Communication and Information Systems Specialist. They sound like the same jobs just one is Army and the other is Air Force. I currently work in the IT field so either of these jobs I'm sure I qualify for.

Are we talking MSEng (Marine Systems Engineer - Officer-MOSID 00365) or are we talking Marine Engineer (NCM-MOSID 00367 (used to be 00121/00122/00123))?
Education requirements differ dramatically.
