I know that you can mark ALL messages as read, but is there a way to mark only certain messages as read?  There are times when I fall behind and try to catch up on posts and end up going through ones that don't interest me as I try to clear the unread posts out.

You can mark all messages in a particular board read, but not individual messages. (Short of reading them, that is. ;))

Thank you Mike.  That will help me out.  Anything in the works for being able to mark individual messages as read?

Turns out it's already there!

To enable it, edit your profile and under "Show quick-moderation on message index as" select "checkboxes. That will show a checkbox to the right of every message when viewing a board. Select the ones you want, and use the droplist at the bottom to "mark selected read."

Cheers
Mike

Awesome Mike!  I do honestly try to read most posts, but I'm sure everyone's been there where time just creeps away and you end up with pages upon pages of unread topics!

You can see all your unread posts (not just since the last visit) here:

I have 100 pages. Seriously. So I'm definitely not caught up. ;)

Hmm.. 38 pages unread. To think with all my hours logged and still that many.

14 ?!?

What the heck, there is whole boards that I don't read cause I think I won't understand !

Anyhow, back to homefront.

Could be that you've marked all posts as read fairly recently, which zaps the list to zero.

I've got 738 pages and counting.

:D

Must have click all read somewhen around march 5.
didn't thought we write so much.
