Hey guys,

I just had a quick question about how often. The CAF does medicals. I know untill the age of 40 it's every 5 years and then every 2 there after, but I've heard rumors the initial enrollment medical is also only good for 2 years instead of 5. Is this true?

Yes and no.

The recruiting medical is good for 5 years if you are under 40.
However, if you are deploying, sailing, or applying for special forces, the initial medical is only good for 2 years.
