Memo response time

In the past, I recall the CoC having to reply to memo's within 30 days.  Is that still true?  I submitted one to the CO through the CoC almost 6 weeks ago and still haven't heard anything back yet.  I'm told it's been sitting with the CO but hasn't come back yet.  If I am correct on this does anyone have a ref and suggestions as to how best to deal with this?

On a generic memo, there is no "must reply by" date anymore. There used to be a "round trip memo" form back in the day when we did things by ink and carbon paper that had a timeline on it and this is generally where people come up with the idea that a timeline still exists.

Having said that, sound administration is to deal with things in a timely fashion. Having no idea what the issue you memo was dealing with, it is impossible to say if 6 weeks is time that is reasonable or not.
