When you own a gun you are only 1 rivet away from being a criminal. I take firearm charges, police expertise and media reporting with several large bags of salt. Often the 3 form a perfect storm of outright stupidity. Throw CBSA in for good measure...

I got to see some fascinating FOI's from the CBSA and RCMP regarding the Type 97 incident. At least CBSA actually released most of the documents regardless of how embarrassing, I think the RCMP take their ATIP training from CBC though.
