From the Monitor Mass Manual available to Intranet users only:  http://armyonline.kingston.mil.ca/CLS/143000440015377/MONITOR_MASS_USER_GU.DOC

Unit Employment Record - UER
Employment
Displays the employment history of the personnel.  This window collects information concerning the positions occupied by the member. It automatically captures all the moves within a Unit during his/her tour. It is also possible to make modifications with a right click on the line to be modified or remove. Only the start date can be modified. The completion date is the date of beginning of the next position.

I will be going to a meeting next week and Monitor Mass will be a topic of discussion.  I am curious on how many of you are using Monitor Mass on a daily/regular basis?  If not using it what are the reasons?  if you are using it what problems are you having?  PM me if necessary.

I booked leave that conviently overlapped MonitorMass training. I still don't even know what it is, other than reading the post here and thinking its a digital UER...

Received a briefing on it a couple of weeks ago, it is the way of the future.  From what I was told you do just about everything on it, nominal roles, sick chits, UER's.  If you are in a command position you will be using it a lot, so they say; I have not actually seen it in use yet.

Mods - I would suggest and recommend that this topic be placed under the Military Administration forum vice the CSS forum.

This is not strictly a CSS program, but rather it is a leadership program developed by the staff of CLS for all levels of army leadership to accurately document their members.  The CLS has stated that all units in the military will use it.  Apparantly, the Navy and Air Force are reviewing the use of it as well (much like the CFTPO).  The fol is a overview of the system.

Monitor MASS introduction
Monitor MASS is an application used for human resource management in real time, which addresses mainly to the Chain of Command (C of C) order to assist in the daily management of their personnel. Monitor MASS gathers information from different systems that affect the daily employment of the soldiers within a unit.  Monitor MASS currently gets downloads from HRMS, MITE on a weekly basis.  We are currently working on a download from CFSS for individual clothing records and a download from FMS for driver’s qualifications.  Monitor MASS is also connected to CFTPO and AEMIS.  Monitor MASS incorporates many tools in order to give the Chain of Command (CoC) the tools it requires to manage personnel, such as:

 ARV - Annual Readiness Verification;
 DAG – Departure Assistance Group;
 AAG – Arrival Assistance Group;
 IBTS – Individual Battle Tasks Standard;
 A real time nominal roll;
 A real time Parade State;
 View member’s detail (Personal or Professional) based on user account privileges;
 An electronic Unit Employment Record (UER), which includes all posting, attach posting, unit employment (moves within Monitor MASS), and unit or personal
                activities that are selected to be recorded in the UER;
 MPRR – Military Personal Record Resumé;
 Individual leave passes (automatically created and recorded in Monitor MASS by selecting the date range in the personal calendar);
 A personal calendar that displays all CFTPO tasks, MITE courses, unit activities, personal activities, etc (which can be synchronized with MS Outlook);
 An agenda (which permits you to view your Unit/section’s activities);
 Create Unit activities and Unit bulk leave;
 Use of common CF/DND forms that automatically fill the basic info on the individual;
 Query on all the fields based on user privileges within the organisation, i.e. a user who has privileges within his section can only query on the personnel within his
                section while the CO, RSM, Adjt , Chief Clerk would have the privilege to do a query for the whole Unit;
 Search for resources, this query will give you a listing of all personnel available for a task / Unit activity by displaying everyone on operation, courses, leave, etc
                for a specific period;
 A warning system that consist of an O&E warning every time someone is posted in or out of the Unit and when someone is detached within Monitor-Mass; and
 Automated Bring Forward (BF)capability that provides all supervisors and clerks the ability to track items prior to them becoming expired , i.e., CF Express Fitness
                test, BFT, dental, medical, immunization, security clearance, terms of service (TOS), passport, unit qualifications, SISIP, will, SDB, ID Disc, all ID Cards, family
                care plan, Reservist Class B and C contracts, DND 404, etc.

Monitor MASS is an in-house application developed and owned by the CF; therefore, it can be customized at will.  Security measures are in place to ensure that only authorized users can view or modify data.  Monitor MASS minimize the input of information and displays a real time organization and activities within a Unit/Org. Users play an essential part in the development of the application and your comments/feedback to +Help Desk ASST@CLS DLCI Ottawa-Hull are always welcome..

Sounds like a pretty awesome program. Anyone know if this is just prelim briefings, or if its actually operational yet?
