I am trying to lure in the experienced to this post to offer guidance/suggestions for recruiting.

I want to pursue a career with the Air Force as an aerospace controller (not sure weather ATC or weapons).

Does that give me room to negotiate:
- a signing bonus?
- location preference?
- ...?

I know I can't have things my way, but do I have any leverage?

Thanks for your time and help.

No and no (at the start of your career you'll be located somewhere where we have aircraft).

heh...Ah, thanks for the laugh suraj

No you can't negotiate. You get paid the same as the rest. Signing bonus. heh.

Ask your recruiter during the interview if you can negotiate for a bit, and tell me how that goes. Better yet, get a picture of his face. :(

glad i could give you guys some fri. night comedy.

im moving back to canada from north carolina.  today was slight chilly (50s i think).  dammit i gotta learn celcius and french.  this is not gonna be fun.

Bah, we've got better beer and our women are pretty good looking.  lots of fun keeping warm in the winter! ;)

Besides, I've seen the women in SC. :o

You'll have plenty of fun.

Maybe you should learn English too, especially spelling and the fact that we use capital letters on words that start sentences and proper nouns.

As for AC Op, I notice that you found and brought back from the dead a 2 year old thread.  This one is a bit more recent and might help you out: http://forums.army.ca/forums/threads/39209.0/all.html

youre a grouchy canadian.  i refuse to use capital letters now...some of your fellow  :cdn: dont.  im educated enough to know when its necessary.  this place isnt supposed to be formal is it?

i will use punctuation though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This place is as formal as people want it to be.
But the important thing is what the owner , Mike Bobbit, want for it,
as well as the moderators staff (and all os us).
Proper spelling is one.

I would suggest that you go back to read what you were suppose to read
when you registered, before being put to the warning system, dear!

Why thanks!  Maybe you don't want to come up here then, there's more of us out there!!  ;D

Although now I am almost wishing I had seen this response of yours first, because then I might not have been quite as nice in responding to your other one.

Seeing as how you are so educated, I am sure that you read the Forum Guidelines, as required: http://forums.army.ca/forums/threads/51831/post-461986#msg461986

This thread may help as well:  http://forums.army.ca/forums/threads/33247.0.html

Oh - when re-reading the Forum Guidelines, pay particular attention to the section on warnings, and also the section on respect between users. Thanks.
