New air-launched weapons

That's not just for the fighters....

There's two other fleets coming online over the next few years that can use some of those things.

Over 3000 SDBs is pretty awesome.

I guess the CQ-9 is one of the fleets you're talking about. Is the P-8 the other one?

Has that list been in the belly of the beast for a while or a new Government push?

Yes and no. Lately with stuff like this it's been more like.

"Hey. We saw this requisition for 20. We have money. You want 30?"

So I wouldn't be surprised if the numbers got pumped up a little. This is kinda how we hit 2% this fiscal.

I also wonder what the delivery schedule is for this. 3 years? 5 years? 10 yrs? And how much we might share with Ukraine. I say we give half of this to Ukraine and make a second order just like this one next year, when the government is still looking to spend.

Can I place an order? I’d like to see every Halifax class frigate loaded for bear to the max, and at payoff just volley fire the works at targets.

If your WSMs aren't maxing out the orders, they are doing something wrong. Telling you guys, this is a billion dollar version of March Madness. Only instead of ordering office chairs they're ordering JDAMs by the thousands. This will only last as long as projects haven't gotten approved and started spending capital. We won't be doing this every year. But as long as the Prime Minister is intent on 2% and there's room in the Defence Budget, well.....
