Site Administration New users can't post here: A spam reduction story

Folks,

Due to the constant stream of spam, I have changed things so that newly registered users cannot post new threads here. They must wait a cooling off period, after which they can post. I am hoping this will be sufficient to reduce the number of bot posts that the Staff have to constantly chase down and remove.
