Ekblad should have been given the gate when he elbowed Hagel - that was a travesty - btw the Player safety people should be turfed.

I am happy to see the Oilers come back from the depths. I hope Winnipeg finds their stride after a shaky start.

The Leafs need to keep the pressure on and not take the stupid penalties Florida is trying to bait them into.

VGK will be super dangerous Saturday night in Edmonton. Yeah, playing on the road in that barn with those fans and that noise level is hard, but even without McNabb and Roy (looks like a suspension coming for him for that cross check), their backs will be against the wall. The Oilers cannot afford to let up the pressure, one bit.

I saw a cartoon this morning that perfectly describes the Oilers playing style:

How most teams in the NHL play:
1. Get lead early
2. Hold lead
3. Win game

How the Oilers play:
1. Swan around and give up lead in first period
2. 2 periods of complete fucking chaos
3. Win game in spectacular, flaming car crash fashion.

How do you coach against that?

They’ve come out to play. All lines firing real well. Miller and Fleury look pretty good as the 3rd D pair

Jets have to win on the road. Something they didn’t do in Round 1. They were a pretty decent road team in the regular season.

ESPN cut over during intermission when the Panther/Laugh game went to OT.
Was already 2-0 Jets. When it cut over after the Panthers win, it looked like the Stars where not even a NHL team as the Jets where just outplaying them by such a margin.

My first bracket didn’t do so well as my Sens pick was a little to optimistic, but so far my second pick seems to be fairly solid, as long as Florida can keep putting the puck in the net faster than the Make Believes can.

Playing at home does not mean that you automatically win. You need to play more than the first 10 minutes of the first period.

At least Corey Perry earned his pay cheque. And then some.
