So what is the deal.....I am reading alot about anti-semetic violence in Canada. So whats going on, kids with nothing to do, or what?

Yeah here in the Toronto area they arrested two 15 yr olds and a 19 yr old, who spraypainted on garages and temples, smashed windows of temples, knocked over gravestones, and other vanadalism. I was not one bit suprised that they were teens, seeing as how they spraypainted "Jewz Suk" and "Jesus Rules!", along with backwards swastikas.
There were also anti-semitic emials being sent around this area, and now in Montreal,
Apparently a synagogue was set ablaze and ransacked.

Havn‘t kids always did this? It‘s like when a child hears a swear word and gets scolded for it. They know it‘s bad so they start saying it to get attention. These kids see a swastika, see the negitive attention it gets so they run around spray painting it. Parents need to discipline their kids more that‘s all it is.

Isolated incidents more or less, it‘s not as if it‘s a sweeping wave of anti-semitism suddenly boiling up in Canada.

The kids in Toronto smashed the windows of a synagogue and spray painted anti-semetic graffiti, which is just disgusting but I haven‘t heard of anything else happening since those kids were caught outside of the usual ignorance that‘s inside of any country.

It‘s just a couple dumb asses. Most people don‘t feal that way, even moron drug adicts out here in winnipeg are anti-nazi

there was also a 42 year old arrested in the process of spray painting hate slogans... And since then there have been other incidences. Such as this weeks school firebombing, or the gravestones that were spray painted and broken. which hits especially close to home becuase my grandparents we laid to rest there. This is an absolutley disgusting time and a dark age for Canada.

I wonder if this is all stemming from that Mel Gibson jesus movie? Didn‘t they say jews were portrayed unfairly in that film and it would incite a rash of anti-jewish violence?

Meh. What‘s new? Since the dawn of time there has been hatred and violence. Nothing the public can do. We just have to have faith in the justice system that these hooligans will be rounded up and carted off to jail once they start their anti-semantic campaigns of hatred.
By the way, a Jewish elementary school in Montreal was set ablaze on the weekend. A Molitov(sp?) cocktail bomb I believe..not 100% sure on that one though.

Does anyone know what race the kids are in most of the attacks? It might make sence that the attacks are being done in retribution for whats going on in and around Israel.
I mean if anything happens in the world theres ALWAYS some kind of protest in Canada.

Unfortunately, it may be more than just kids, and is probably dangerous to simply dismiss them as isolated incidents. This is part of a bigger picture, in my opinion.
I believe a letter was found at the Jewish school which was fire-bombed, stating the attack was a response from a Muslim group to Israel‘s actions in the Mid-East. Meanwhile, at universities across Canada, Jewish and Muslim students are in constant conflict, York and Concordia being two prominent examples. Increasingly, we‘re seeing almost microcosms of the problems in the Middle East within Canada by extremist groups. Personally, I‘m not really too sure what should be done about it. These days, Canada doesn‘t seem to be doing a whole lot to reach out to the Middle East, and is content to sit back in its cozy chair a wag fingers.

Canada seems to have no objections against letting them come and live here either giving them the option of working or going on welfare, giving them a chance to live life away from the violence of the middle east. Thats a pretty good way of reaching out.

While there was a belief that anti Semitic feeling could come from "The Passion" what was more likely to happen [according to Jewish leaders in North America] was that there would be embarrassment for the religion.
As for this being a secular country, you are dead wrong. This is a country that was founded with a Judeo Christian structure and has since allowed the practice of most religions. While Canada may not be united in a religion it most certainly has a religious populous

Hey BJ, its far worse here in Sydney, and I look at it simply this way to both jews and mulsims alike. If they want to fight do it back in Israel, not in our peace loving countries. If they cant live in harmony here, go BLOODY home I say.
Simply what has happened satellite countries within our own borders have been born, and along with that, their own customs and traditions of hatred and violence (13th century mentality with 21st century technology), and although we have it too by North American standards, ours is different, as life is beyond cheap back in their homelands.

Ya, leave your ‘Sh** at the door‘. If someone immigrates to another country to have a chance at a better life, they should leave their gripes at the door. If you bring your hatred here and commit crimes like this, it shows that you can‘t control your emotions and that you are not ‘Canadian‘ despite what your passport says. In such circumstances, if you are an immigrant - I don‘t care if you are a citizen cuz you‘ve been here for 5 years and passed a test - you need to go back to where you came from and take your bullsh** with you. 
(this could get a lot more complicated if they have young children here, but this is a very simplified view particularly aimed towards any would be immigrant-terrorists.)
That said, Canadians who commit such things are an embarrassment as well, and I think that when they are rounded up they should be, and are, punished accordingly by the justice system. Either way this behaviour is intolerable.
