Observations on Op IRAQI FREEDOM

Interesting read, although I would like to see the entire report and not just the summary...
Here's a thought: Why doesn't the U.S. Military invite Cindy Sheehan on a tour of Iraq? As she is camped outside of the President's ranch over the summer, she has asked repeatedly "what noble cause did my son die for?". I think that a visit to Iraq, speaking to individuals ranging from the commanding general to privates in the field, as well as civilians that are directly effected, could answer her question better than anything else.
If the liberal media could put away their political axe for awhile, I think an objective look at what the U.S. Military is accomplishing in Iraq would yield many comments similar to those of the report writers'. IMHO, I think Nation Building, during which one is helping to turn a nation from kaos and anarchy to a productive, democratic society, is very noble indeed.
I only with our country could see fit to help contribute...I'd volunteer in a heartbeat.

Cindy Sheehan is a shameless wack job. She was an extremist before her son Casey was killed in action. If the President met with her [for a second time] she would no doubt turn it into a spectacle. If she went to Iraq she would be preaching her nonsense. Her conduct is very close to sedition.
There is no doubt that in her current state she is a cancer....but on a recent business trip to California, it became apparent to me that she is a lightning rod for the 'anti-war' movement....which in itself is confusing because the war is over, and by all accounts the struggle now is truly one of anti-terrorism..
That said, I think the situation was and is being handled poorly...an invitation to meet with front line soldiers, battaliion commanders, Iraqi politicians, and specifically civilians effected by and scared of the local and foreign 'insurgents' terrorizing them daily would strip away all the rhetoric in an instant...then, upon her return, let her meet the president...she would likely be singing his praises, or at the very least dissapear from the public stage...
