P82 Web gear

I have looked at the manual and asked several persons regarding to sizes of the old web gear but nothing came up. i have a small waist with a little bit bigger hips (23 waist and 30 hips). Now I am thinking I take a size small but how long is a small web belt? Is there any tricks or things to know to make it fit better and how to lay out the gear on the belt?
